I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
